The Shoppers Optimum® MasterCard®, issued by MBNA Canada, is a rewards credit card available to residents of Canada.
It's easy to rack up points using this rewards card. Earn 25 points for every $1 you spend at Shoppers Drug Mart, and earn 5 points for every $1 you spend anywhere else. You will also receive a bonus 15,000 points after your first purchase. There is no limit to the number of points you can earn. When you become a Shoppers Optimum® MasterCard® cardholder, you gain free membership into the Shoppers Optimum Program®.
Cardholders can redeem their points to receive instant savings of up to 100% on almost any item at Shoppers Drug Mart stores. For example, after earning 15,000 points, you can save $25 on your next Shoppers Drug Mart purchase.
In addition to the rewards program, the Shoppers Optimum® MasterCard® offers several other benefits, including a 1.99% APR on cheque cash advances and balance transfers for the first 6 months. Cardholders enjoy free and secure online access to their credit card accounts, allowing them to access statements, view transactions in real time and add authorized users, among other things.
With the Shoppers Optimum® MasterCard®, cardholders have access to unparalleled 24-hour customer service. The card offers purchase protection, which protects credit card purchases against damage or theft for up to 90 days. This card also offers around-the-clock fraud protection.
