How can I get a foreclosure off of my credit report?
In my divorce agreement, my ex was clearly and solely responsible for mortgage payments. He didn't pay and we lost our home of 17 years. My name was also on mortgage, but agreement proves it was his responsibility. My credit has suffered severely. Can I do anything? Can't get loans for daughter's education. Credit cards up to 36% interest. It is choking me! Awful situation! Trapped! What can I do?

What is wrong with credit card companies?
I bought a prepaid credit card for $ 31.30 and it was for $ 25.
If that isn't bad enough it won't let me make purchases with it yet.
I guess they all hate their customers...
Idiots.

Seek ASAP answer - Credit Card Transfer / Consolidation?
I asked this a while back and phrased it poorly, so let me try again.
I have a Capital One offer to transfer up to $ 20K to a fixed APR FOR LIFE at 5.99%. From the 3 cards I carry, they total about $ 25K total. There is no annual fee, & NO transfer fee which surprises me (since it's typically 3% of the transferred amounts). This sounds like a pretty good deal, with a regular APR of 11.99% on purchases, although I'd plan not to use this card for any other means than to pay it off (feel free to laugh). Since the minimum payment each period is 3% of the total, or about $ 600 min, it's less than I currently pay in total for the 3 cards, but I would plan to pay $ 1K per month.
Is this a good idea to do? My offer expires on 10/27.
Does anyone know how to calculate future payments? Say I have a $ 20K balance at 5.99% APR. I make payment 1 at $ 1K... how could I calculate my next payment based on the APR & a new pre-APR balance of $ 19K?
Thanks!!

My Credit Card was DECLINED in front of Everyone?
Before judging me, please read my entire question.
I currently am 40 years old and have had to move back into my parents house because the job market right now sucks, and even though I graduated college no one seems to want to hire me. I'm also a part-time artist, I put on improv theater shows in a basement theater company downtown. It doesn't pay anything, but it gets me out of the house and allows me to dabble in the art world.
Anyways, my parents have been nagging at me to get a job and move out, even though I've only been camping in their spare bedroom for a year now. They need to give me time to find myself. So the other night I offered to take them and our neighbors out to dinner, my treat. My mother wondered how I could afford such an expense considering I have limited funds. But I told her not to worry, I had it under control.
At the restaurant we all ordered, and I told everyone to get appetizers of shrimp on ice and drinks as well. We ended up having a grand ole time and my neighbors thought my improv shows sounded funny, and even inquired about coming to see me perform! Wow, now I was making connections and getting a fanbase. It was too good to be true. The waitress dropped the bill on the table and I reached for it and said in a very grownup tone, "It's on me." My mother looked a little embarrassed by this, but my father thanked me for treating.
I pulled out my Visa card and handed the bill of $ 229.84 to the nice waitress. Then we continued to drink our after dinner beverages and reminisce. Then my neighbors dropped a question on me that made me sort of upset.
"So, when are you going to get a job and move out of your parents house?"
"Um, that's really none of your business and honestly, in this economy, I should be able to take my time." I said this in a dry tone that sort of set my neighbors aback. The waitress then showed up with a disgruntled look on her face.
"Your credit card was declined."
"That's impossible, I just paid the minimum payment last week! Swipe it again."
"We swiped it three times and its not working. Do you want to try another card?" I was so embarrassed. I looked at my neighbors, who had bemused looks on their faces.
"I don't have another one, your computer must have made a mistake." The waitress, who was friendly at first, now seemed impatient and annoyed.
"Try mine, thank you." My Dad gave the waitress his card and she quickly left before I could say anything.
"Dad, this was MY treat! Dammit, now you embarrassed me!"
"You obviously could not pay it, and we need to get going. Why would you only bring one card and not check to see the balance. Let's go." I had never been so humiliated. On top of bad way dinner turned out, my parents now want me to get a job and my neighbors never came to see a show of mine. The liars. Why did this happen to me?

Please help! Need to fix bad credit!?
I am desperate to begin fixing my terrible credit and not file bankruptcy. I incurred alot of credit card, financial loan, and medical bill debt a few years back. I used to not care but now that I'm all grown up and have a good job I want to fix my credit and be responsible. Should I pay off small balances first? or make payment arrangements with accounts with most recent activity? Is debt consolidation with a company a good idea? Help please! I want to fix what I screwed up when I was young. Anyone who knows about this or even better, anyone who has been in my situation I really appreciate the advice! My credit score is only arround 550, and I can't even get a cheap car and I make fairly decent money....

Bank Of America 0% APR ?
Got a BofA Visa Platnum card to build credit,
I was issued a 2.5k limit, and a 0% APR Until Feb 2008
I am currently at 1.5k balance, I have no worries on paying it off,
My Question is the following;
I was given an offer from BofA that if I write off a Check issued from the Credit Card, My APR of 0% Would be extended until November 2008 for Balance Transfers and Checks ( I am still responsible for the 3% Fee or $ 10.00 which ever is greater)
I am eager to take advantage of this offer, which seems pretty sweet.
My College Bill is $ 1k out of my pocket, If I make a payment to BofA for $ 1k (Thus making my balance $ 500) and I write a check for $ 1k (yes I would be paying a $ 30 fee) and I make a payment of $ 500 before the Feb Closing date, (assuming I stop using the Credit Card) Making All Credit Card Balances to $ 0 and Check Balances to $ 1.5K, would I still incur interest, even though I have 0% Interest on Checks, and I paid off the balances on the credit cards.. Seems long..
BofA is short for Bank Of America
