How much can I get a loan for on a house if I make 12 dollars an hour?
I make 12 dollars an hour..been at my job for 4 years, good history and credit. I only have a 300 dollar car payment a month.

Being approved for a loan and being able to afford the payments are two different things. A person with good credit can still be approved for a debt/income ratio of 50% or higher and that can be difficult to keep up in many households, especially if you have kids. You need to find a payment you can live with that will allow you to maintain your lifestyle and put some money away for planned and unplanned expenses.
