Is there a credit card that doesn't charge a fee for international transactions?

I am studying abroad in Arezzo, Italy from January-June 2009. I am looking for a new credit card that doesn't charge international transaction fees or at least has a low, low rate. Also, if there is one that has a zero-percent balance transfer offer that would be great. Thanks for the assistance!

wondering why

Can those companies on TV reduce my tax as promised?

On TV, there are many companies that say they can reduce our tax, such as reducing $ 12000 to $ 3000, and so forth. Are they real, and who can qualify for it? Must I have financial hardship? What if I have other asset such as car or house (in mortgage), then can I qualify? (I do owe credit cards for about $ 28000 from previous balance transfer offer they gave me). And also, do we need to declare bankruptcy or will it affect our credit scores? Thanks very much!

Seek ASAP answer - Credit Card Transfer / Consolidation?

I asked this a while back and phrased it poorly, so let me try again. I have a Capital One offer to transfer up to $ 20K to a fixed APR FOR LIFE at 5.99%. From the 3 cards I carry, they total about $ 25K total. There is no annual fee, & NO transfer fee which surprises me (since it's typically 3% of the transferred amounts). This sounds like a pretty good deal, with a regular APR of 11.99% on purchases, although I'd plan not to use this card for any other means than to pay it off (feel free to laugh). Since the minimum payment each period is 3% of the total, or about $ 600 min, it's less than I currently pay in total for the 3 cards, but I would plan to pay $ 1K per month. Is this a good idea to do? My offer expires on 10/27. Does anyone know how to calculate future payments? Say I have a $ 20K balance at 5.99% APR. I make payment 1 at $ 1K... how could I calculate my next payment based on the APR & a new pre-APR balance of $ 19K? Thanks!!

Bank Of America 0% APR ?

Got a BofA Visa Platnum card to build credit, I was issued a 2.5k limit, and a 0% APR Until Feb 2008 I am currently at 1.5k balance, I have no worries on paying it off, My Question is the following; I was given an offer from BofA that if I write off a Check issued from the Credit Card, My APR of 0% Would be extended until November 2008 for Balance Transfers and Checks ( I am still responsible for the 3% Fee or $ 10.00 which ever is greater) I am eager to take advantage of this offer, which seems pretty sweet. My College Bill is $ 1k out of my pocket, If I make a payment to BofA for $ 1k (Thus making my balance $ 500) and I write a check for $ 1k (yes I would be paying a $ 30 fee) and I make a payment of $ 500 before the Feb Closing date, (assuming I stop using the Credit Card) Making All Credit Card Balances to $ 0 and Check Balances to $ 1.5K, would I still incur interest, even though I have 0% Interest on Checks, and I paid off the balances on the credit cards.. Seems long.. BofA is short for Bank Of America

Credit card releif question...PLEASE HELP!!!!?

Okay...so I pay a little bit more then the minimum fee every month and my balance still never seems to go down!!!! Last month I paid $ 100 and my balance only went down about $ 30! All the rest went to finance charges. I'm living pay check to pay check and I can't afford to pay much more than that. This card is killing me! I asked the company (WaMu...previously Providian) to lower it. But they said no. I've gotten denied for other "blance transfer" offers I see online. But my credit is decent (about 670). I owe about $ 3500 on it and I've been stuck at that amout for months. And I don't even use the card anymore. Does anyone know of any good card i can do a balance transfer on? Or any program for smaller debt relief? I feel so hopeless.

I just got an offer for a balance transfer for low or no interest APR for a 12-18 months?

I already have a balance with that financial institution at 2 different interest tiers. Will I come out ahead by using this to pay off a high interest (17%) debt and then put the money I would be paying toward the higher interest debt into paying off the new balance? How does it work with paying off interest tiers? The debt would look like this: $ 1500 at 0%, $ 2,157.97 at 3.99% and $ 2,157.97 at 13.24%. I know I have to pay off the top tier first while interest accrues on the bottom tiers. Is it worth it? I want to be able to pay this off in about 3 years or less and also save on interest in the long run.

Q&A

Nordstrom's Credit Cards?!?!?

Im thinking of getting a Nordstrom's Visa Signature Credit Card, but I was wondering if I can get an additional card for my daughter? And also, do they allow balance transfers from a different credit card? It doesn't state it in the application, or anywhere on the website! I was wondering if any of you have been through the process! I appreciate your help. Thanks!

Why is my bank charging me a fee for having x amount of dollars in my savings account?

I have Bank of America, & whenever I make a transaction that exceeds what I have in my checking account, it automatically transfers money from my savings into my checking account to cover the difference. I get charged a $ 10 "Overdraft Protection Transfer Fee" fee every time it does this. This I understand & am OK with. HOWEVER now my bank statement shows a $ 12 fee & it says "THIS FEE WAS CHARGED BECAUSE YOUR ACCOUNT'S MINIMUM BALANCE DURING THE MONTH WAS $ ___ ON 10/21 & THE ACCOUNT HAD 4 EXCESS WITHDRAWAL(S)." The excess withdrawals that they are referring to are the transactions where I didn't have enough in my checking so they transferred $ $ from my savings to my checking and charged me $ 10 for. And the amounts that were transferred from my savings to my checking were no more than $ 100 each time What I don't understand is why they are charging me $ 12 ON TOP of the $ 10 they already charged me?? I feel like they are cheating me, should I call them tomorrow and complain? This fee makes no sense to me!

Need to transfer £42000 balance from my uncompetitive ISA. Any suggestions where to?

I have held a Tessa (now ISA) with the same lender for a number of years, now valued at over £42000. I now find that the rate being offered is not very competitive (4.85% variable). What are my options?
