Credit Cards will help Purchase a New Car

credit-cards-help-purchase-new-carWhen you are looking at applying for a new car reward credit card, you are barraged with ads that promise the moon and stars for rewards. All of the offers seem appealing, but there is a lot to consider when choosing a car reward credit card from the onslaught of ads that you will encounter. There are cards that will offer you points for shopping at a specific manufacturer, credit cards that offer points for manufacturer parts purchases and credit card offers that afford points for gasoline purchases. So, which one is right for you?

If you plan to purchase a specific type of vehicle, such as a GM for example, there are car reward credit cards that offer you points for every dollar you spend on a GM vehicle, parts or service. If you own, or plan to own a GM vehicle, then one of these cards is right up your alley. Not only can you shop knowing you are protected by the MasterCard® or Visa® symbol, you can also get rewards for purchases you need to make for your vehicle.

There are a variety of Chase auto rewards credit cards available, such as the GM Business Card from Chase and the Volkswagen Platinum Visa® card with Rewards. The GM Business Card from Chase offers three per cent earnings on fuel purchases, restaurants, office supply stores and authorized GM dealers on parts and service, as well as one per cent earnings on all other purchases. When you purchase or lease a GM vehicle, you get a $600 statement credit with the program. The Volkswagen Platinum Visa® card with Rewards offers two points for every dollar you spend on VW purchases and one point on other purchases to redeem for VW cars, gear, and service as well as other rewards.

Those examples are indicative of the rewards you can expect from many of the credit card offers provided from any number of banks and institutions. The primary decision you have to make is about the type of car rewards credit card you want, and what will suit your needs the best. There’s no rhyme or reason to take a credit card with a rewards program that you have no use for. If you would never purchase a VW vehicle or have any use for their gear, then it would be silly for you to apply for and use a VW car rewards credit card.

Take a look at the vehicle you drive and search for a car reward credit card that would suit your needs. If you own a GM, search for a GM car reward credit card, a Ford-a Ford car reward credit card. You have to be able to use and make use of the rewards that you receive for using the credit card, so finding one that suits your needs is the key.

Once you have narrowed the field down to a few choices, you should compare the offers. There’s always fine print with a credit card and you should read all of it and consider it.

So, what should you consider if you are looking for a car reward credit card?

Start with the APR (annual percentage rate) and compare them from card to card. Many car reward credit cards offer a special, lower introductory APR for a period of time. It’s the long term APR that you really want to consider, as it will have the most impact on your spending.

Annual fees are next on the list-many car reward credit cards don’t have any annual fees while others do. If there is an exceptionally low APR, then chances are there is an annual fee to pay. You have to weigh the difference, APR versus the annual fee to decide if the annual fee is worth the lower APR (and most often it is).

Finally, look at the rewards program. Ask yourself if the rewards that are offered with the car reward credit card are rewards that you would be interested in. When the answer is no, look at a different card. When the answer is yes, then look at the complexities of the reward program. Find out how many points are offered and when they are offered. If you get three times the points for shopping at a specific chain store and you have never shopped there, it’s not a good reward program for you. You also need to look at if and when the points expire, how often you can use them and if there are any limits or exceptions to the rewards program or redeeming points.

Once you have looked at all of the cards that fit your profile, compare them and figure out which card is the best for you while looking past the flashing ads and ‘great deals’. The best car reward credit card is the one that will suit your needs best.

Understanding the Facts about MasterCard Credit Cards

understanding-facts-mastercard-credit-cardsConsidered one of the top leaders in the credit card industry today, MasterCard Incorporated, the parent company of MasterCard credit cards, works as a franchisor, processor, and advisor to further develop and advance worldwide commerce, accelerate global business, and act as a significant link between millions of financial institutions and businesses, merchants, and individual cardholders around the world.

Credit cards are engrained in the very fabric of our financial and business-related society, and millions of individuals and businesses around the world choose a MasterCard credit card application and to carry a MasterCard. Why?

First and foremost, MasterCard, the second leading payment system in the U.S., is accepted by more merchants than any other credit card in the entire world. In addition to merchants, you will have a higher chance of accessing cash from any ATM in the world if you carry a MasterCard. In fact, MasterCard Incorporated actually states: “No other payment card is accepted in more locations around the world than MasterCard.” The MasterCard credit card (and debit card) network has extended into more than 200 countries, and boasts an astounding 250,000 shareholders around the world. If you carry a MasterCard in the U.S., you also get the added benefit of zero liability in case your card is ever stolen.

MasterCard is also a preferred and trusted brand of credit cards for many consumers. No matter what your financial needs or credit-related situation, there is a MasterCard for you, which is another reason why so many people choose a MasterCard application. MasterCard offers several different “categories” of its premier brand credit cards for credit card applications: standard credit cards, specialty credit cards, rewards programs credit cards, and “bad credit” credit cards.

Standard MasterCard credit cards are the most common (and popular) type of MasterCard. In fact, if you are just starting out with MasterCard or even credit cards in general, you will likely be filling out a standard MasterCard credit card application. Specialty credit cards are issued to people and business in special situations, such as college students, self-employed individuals, and small business and companies. If you like rewards programs and will use them and benefit from them, requesting a credit card application for a MasterCard with rewards is a good option for you. With this type of card, you will accumulate points or be rewarded discounts every time you use your card. Finally, MasterCard credit cards can also be designed with the consumer who has bad credit history in mind. The balance, interest rate, terms and conditions, and credit applied will be specifically tailored to your needs.

MasterCard Incorporated offers a plethora of specific credit cards that offer a number of unique advantages. The type of card for which you seek a credit card application will depend not only on your financial and credit situations, but also on your tastes, preferences, and goals.

There are too many different types of fantastic MasterCard credit cards to name, but here are a few of some of the more popular types: the HSBC Platinum MasterCard, the Citi Platinum Select Card, the Universal Entertainment MasterCard, the Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card, and the GM Card.

One of the most popular MasterCard credit cards is the Citi Platinum Select Card, which offers zero APR on purchases and balance transfers for a full 12 months, after which the APR carries at a competitively low rate, and you are also entitled to free online bill payments and account management, all for no annual fee. However, if you’re looking for a little something more, the HSBC Platinum MasterCard, for example, offers all these attractive features and benefits plus unlimited purchase protection, extended warranties, and inclusive travel insurance for accidents.

If you’re into rewards, consider requesting a credit card application for the Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card, through which you can earn reward points for any MasterCard purchases you make at gas stations, grocery stores, and pharmacies. You could also look into the Universal Entertainment MasterCard, which offers entertainment-based rewards for items like CDs, DVDs, and even theme park admission.

There are many other popular MasterCard credit cards, offering a wide variety and wide range of benefits, features, rates, and terms. A few of these include the GM Card, the Marathon Platinum MasterCard, and the Continental Airlines World MasterCard.

Another advantage offered by MasterCard is that the application process is quite simple and straightforward. If you’re considering credit card applications, consider applying for a MasterCard credit card, and you are sure to get your hands on the right credit card for you, your financial needs, and your credit situation. Even if you have no previous credit, you are likely to be issued a standard credit card with a reasonable balance and a reasonable interest rate the latter often lower than you’d find with other major credit cards. In fact, many consumers find that when they simultaneously fill out a MasterCard credit card application and an application for another major credit card company, they may find both a slightly higher balance and a slightly lower interest rate with the MasterCard, upon approval.

Visit MasterCard online and browse through the site, or contact a representative to find out what your options are and which type of card is the right one for you and your needs. Then, you can fill out a MasterCard credit card application and be on your way to reaping all the benefits of carrying the most flexible and accessible credit card in the world.

Many Benefits to Getting a Pre-Paid Credit Card

many-benefits-getting-pre-paid-credit-cardThere are many benefits of applying for a prepaid credit card. A prepaid Visa credit card works just like any other credit card with one major difference. When you use your prepaid Visa credit card, you are spending money you have already put on the card. Like a gift card for a store, when the money is gone, you can no longer use the card, but unlike a gift card for a store, you can use a prepaid Visa credit card in any store, just like a regular credit card!

There are many different reasons someone might choose to use a prepaid credit card. One reason is that they might have little credit history or a bad credit history. When you buy a prepaid credit card online or offline, you do not have to worry about your credit history, because you put the money on the card. The credit card issuer is not going to lose anything if you have a bad credit history, because you will not owe the company any money. You will be giving them your money on the outset and using your Visa prepaid credit card like a gift card, spending it at your favorite stores.

Another benefit of using a prepaid credit card is tracking your spending. This benefit is one reason that many parents give prepaid credit cards for teens to their kids. When you send your daughter to the mall with her friends, you can know exactly how much she can spend if you limit her to a prepaid credit card.

A Visa or MasterCard prepaid credit card is also a safe, secure way to carry your money. When you are traveling, carrying large amounts of cash is not safe, and taking your checkbook may not be convenient. Many places only accept cash or credit, but not checks, particularly if you are from out of state. Carrying large amounts of cash is a great way to invite a thief to take your purse. With a Visa or MasterCard prepaid credit card, you must sign for your purchases. This means that a thief cannot spend your money, because he will not be able to sign your name. Also, if your prepaid credit card is lost or stolen, it can be cancelled just like your regular credit card.

With the rise of interest rates, many people are afraid to have high balances on their credit cards. Using a MasterCard or Visa prepaid credit card is a way to spend money conveniently without building large amounts of credit cards. Your prepaid credit debit card has the same effect on your budget as spending cash does.

You can check the balance of your prepaid credit card online and over the phone. Most prepaid credit cards will allow you to reload the prepaid credit card online or over the phone, as well. This eliminates any embarrassment caused by not having enough money on your card for a purchase you want or need to make. All it takes is a quick call from your cell phone and you can make your purchase.

While there are few completely free prepaid credit cards, the savings you have over a traditional credit card are substantial. You will not pay any interest, because you put the amount of money on the card that you intend to spend. Most prepaid cards have a monthly fee attached for carrying the account. Many cards do, however, offer a free prepaid credit card option, if you have your paycheck direct deposited to your prepaid credit debit card. Many consumers find this a good option, since you can use your prepaid credit debit card almost anywhere you can write a check.

Another way you can use a MasterCard or Visa prepaid credit card is when you are signing up for online offers. Sometimes, these offers sound great, but after you are done with the trial period, you realize that you do not want the product or service. However, the companies who give you these trial offers make it nearly impossible to cancel your subscription. If you use a credit card in prepaid form, you can simply load the card with the amount of money you intend to spend on the trail, and then let it expire. When the credit card will no longer pay the Internet marketer, you will lose your subscription to the product or service, and avoid being charged for something you do not use.

When you are ready to compare prepaid credit card offers, make sure you look at all the fine print in order to find the best prepaid credit card for you and your family. Find out what fees the card has, and read the fine print to see if there is any way you can make your chosen card a free prepaid credit card. Make sure that there are no minimum balances that you have to have on the card. Also, when you compare prepaid credit card offers, find one that has a PIN number. This will make it easy to use your prepaid Visa credit card anywhere you would normally write a check. With these comparison tips, you can find the best prepaid credit card for your needs!
